The Last Man

He ignored the environment for such a long time that he didn’t see the signs.

That’s why he didn’t react to the rain. Or the monster wave.

It’s no wonder that he didn’t notice the farmland turn into a desert, either. Or see how every living creature was disappearing from the earth, one by one. Until it was too late of course.

It’s probably forgotten history by now, but long ago he inhabited a beautiful blue planet. Lush jungles, mountains, oceans, deserts, they were all part of a landscape so perfect, it had to be from a divine plan.

Until money came into the picture and greed was born. It became an obsession to collect as much as he could, no matter what the consequences were. He was driven to consume more than he needed at any price. It was the end of life as he knew it.

There were wise men, prophets, who warned him. But did he listen to them?

Blood was dripping from his hands! A fire was burning and all that he could think about was fucking money.

Before long, he was the richestman on earth. But he was the only one, the most lonely one. He was the last man alive.

But there’s more to our vast universe.

Is anybody out there?
